  Apparently, Licensed Clinical Social Workers - (LCSW - what the woman speaking in the video claims to be) - were not - (and usually are not) - as well ecucated as other professionals dealing in these matters, but I bet physicians, particularly, pediatricians, as well as psychiatrists and other social scientists were well aware of the "body of information" on such child abuse at least 20 to 40 years ago; and you can bet many, if not most, feminist writers and scholars were too. Imagine the JWs listening to them ("bra-burners" or psychiatrists/MDs).

  This tactic (of using pseudo-professionals) to make authoritative comments about social, religious and secular issues is very typical of the Watchtower Society. Just look at what they've done over the years with the blood and immunization issues:

  Nightmare or Subconscience???

  i want to share with you a crazy dream that i had a few years ago.

  raised in the "truth" but not attending meetings regularly i had "end time nightmares" often.

  but this specific one stands out in my mind as i remember it so vivid and clearly.

  I used to have recurring nightmares about being chased in a tunnel by wild-eyed horses; I think it had something to do with the pictures in the literature of the four horsemen of the apocalypse. I am still a little nervous of horses.

  Mouthy's 80th Birthday ---- Thanks to all

  great big thanks to all who participated in my mother's 80th birthday.... it was great, and she was trhilled..... she had a smile on her face the whole day long.... so many showed up to celebrate, and those that couldn't shared by phone calls, cards, flowers and gifts.

  the memory album i put together for her turned out great, so thanks to so many who sent me a page to put in, it's a memory she'll have forever.... all her children and grandchildren were there, except for the ones in montreal who are still jw's.. .

  thank-you to all, a million times.

  here's my story.

  i tried to shorten it as much as possible.. my family belonged to a baptist church and i was baptized in that church when i was 8 years old.

  i sincerely believed in jesus and the bible then and still do now.

  Well, possibly, but it's more likely that disorders lead to susceptibility to cult involvement although that is not to say that cult involvement indicates a disorer, but that is not to say that the opposite is not true as well. Gimme' another drinky winky.

  Sister-in-law attempts suicide

  my sister-in-law tried to take her life this afternoon.

  it still remains to be seen if she makes it through or not.

  though a witness, she's had many bad experiences in life.

  Golf - That is very disturbing and it is good that she has someone who can be available to her in you. I hope she does well physically and recovers emotionally. Perhaps she will find some more intensive help and healing after this. I hope the best for her and for you.

  hello, i needed to ask you a question about the grading system for ib.

  when a student was taking honor's classes or if a student was taking ib classes the grading system didn't reflect this.

  therefore, you could have an honor's or ib student taking physics for instance who is making a "c" in the class and then you could have a regular student taking pre-algebra who's making an "a".

  i have been reading this board for about 4 years.

  after 38 years of being a baptized jehovah's witness, i did some research on the internet and found enough evidence to quit.

  that was 4 years ago and i am so much happier now.
